Tatterson CGI short film
Tatterson is a short military action-drama film based on the life of Australian World War 2 Military Cross recipient, Captain Vincent Leslie Tatterson, the great-uncle of the film’s director, Michaela Danby.

The film is a ‘live-action shot against blue screen’ film using sophisticated digital media techniques to fill in the background, similar to the techniques used later in Zak Snyder’s ‘300’ and James Cameron’s ‘Avatar’.
The project was completed on budget, on time and went on to win numerous awards, including Best Cinematography at the AFTRS Graduation Ceremony, and Best Film at the Wellington Film Festival.
Shot in 720p HD on Panavision Varicam.
Budget: $5200.
